Traffic Policy

The Pear Theatre does not cancel performances due to traffic except in the most severe of conditions. Unless otherwise noted on our website, the show will go on. We normally know in advance of event-related traffic for Shoreline Amphitheatre, and will email patrons to recommend they give enough time, or perhaps arrive early and take in a dinner at one of our local-area restaurants. Our lobby opens an hour before performances, and concessions (food, drink, beer and wine) are available to enjoy at that time.

We know that traffic conditions can be generally bad in the area. Should you have concerns about being able to arrive at the theater in a timely fashion due to traffic conditions, please contact our box office at 650-254-1148 or by email at tickets@thepear.org and we will gladly assist you with rescheduling your performance.

Conditions are evaluated continually and the decision to cancel a performance would most likely occur on the day of the performance itself. Please check thepear.org for the most up-to-date information regarding a performance, or call us at 650-254-1148.

In the unlikely event that a performance is canceled, a notice will be posted to the top of our homepage (thepear.org) and we will attempt to contact all ticketed guests by email immediately and by phone in the coming days to facilitate rescheduling your tickets. During a cancellation, you are welcome to contact our box office. Rest assured that your ticket will still be valid, and we will work with you to find the best possible solution as soon as possible.
